Appointments
All Office Hours are by Appointment Only
Appointments are made to allow adequate openings for sick calls as well as sufficient time for well child checkups (WCC). The following information may be helpful for scheduling:
- Our Call Center (804) 282-4205 now services all calls for both the Three Chopt and Hanover offices Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 am. and on Saturday starting at 7:30am. Please make sure you follow the correct prompts to reach your preferred office. Always confirm with the receptionist whether your appointment is scheduled at Three Chopt or Hanover. If you arrive at the wrong office your appointment will have to be rescheduled. Thank you for your help in making sure all apointments are confirmed. There will be times, particularly early morning and after school lets out, when our phones can be very busy. For that reason, please make routine calls (checkup scheduling, immunization records, prescription refills, and other routine questions) between 8:00am and 4:00 pm. If you have a child with an illness and the phone is busy, please be patient and try again.
- Make your WCC as far in advance as possible. It’s a good idea to schedule the next WCC when you are in the office. Usually 4-6 weeks are needed to schedule a routine checkup. Our office opens its schedule three months in advance on the first of each month.
- Parents or guardians are expected to attend all appointments with patients under 18 years old. We don’t want to delay or reschedule an appointment because a parent is not present.
- Because we try to stay on schedule, we ask that you arrive on time for your appointments. If you are unable to keep the appointment, please call and let us know. We reserve the right to reschedule late (15 minutes +) arrivals if no openings are available to make up the lost time.
- Try to anticipate daycare, school, camp, and sports physicals and schedule well in advance. See our forms section for more information.
- We do not assign one physician to each patient, but rather we all share in the care of your child. While you may have most of your well visits with your provider of choice, sick visits will rotate through our medical staff as we try to accommodate office and times that best fit parental schedules. Everyone on our staff, both clinical and clerical, is present to assist you and your child. All of us want to make your encounters with our office a positive and productive experience.
